Everybody loves a story of triumph and redemption.  That's what makes the Natalynne Walton story so inspiring.  The former Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader who cheered during the height of the squad's 70s/80s popularity (1979 season), appeared in the second Made for TV movie, Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders II.  But everything came crashing down after Natalynne left the high profile squad.

Post DCC, Natalynne, the daughter of two teachers, achieved her Masters in Education and became a kindergarten teacher in Hartford, CT where she achieved Teacher of the Year while fulfilling her passion for working with children.  Unfortunaltely, substance abuse became a road block in her journey.  Natalynne succumbed to the disease of drug addiction and retired from her award-winning career as an educator.  She abused drugs for 10 years before seeking recovery that helped her learn to make different choices.

Everything happens for a reason.  Natalynne decided to take her life lessons and use them as a tool to help recovering moms.  In 2005, she founded Hopeful Solutions, Inc., a non-profit organization that works with the Dallas Housing Authority to provide homes for moms who are in recovery from substance abuse.  Since, 2008, the program has provided furnished apartments to recovering moms and their children.  In exchange, these moms continue the recovery they already started before getting help from Hopeful Solutions, Inc.

The organization focuses on the substance abuse recovery first (the solution), then addresses the housing, clothing, employment, etc. that help these women get back on their feet (the hope).  Hopeful Solutions, Inc. is a volunteer agency that needs financial donations to continue helping women and children in the Dallas community.  For more information or to donate to this worthy cause, watch the videos below or visit http://www.hopefulsolutionsinc.org.
